Quick geeky juggler note - the video on his website includes a 7 ring pulldown - nice!

Progress Update, and BJC2007

April 10th, 2007 - Comments Off

Well, things have slowed down a little over the last week or so, partly because of work commitments, and partly because no one has sent me anything! However, I have had a number of emails from people prommising to send me stuff, so fingers crossed I’ll have some updates for you soon!

I’m going to be going to the British Juggling Convention tomorrow, so if any photos turn up in the post over the next week - they’ll have to wait until I come back!

However, if you’re a performer, and you’re going to be at BJC, ask around for “Little Paul”  - and you can give me your photo there!  I’m also going to try to bring with me the scrap book so anyone interested can see how I’m doing so far!

Anyway, got to dash, I’ve got  packing to do!

Juggler Number 4 - Zyllan

I’ve received the fourth signed promotional photograph of a juggler!

Zyllan

Zyllan is one of the UKs top young jugglers, he’s currently studying for his A-Levels, Zyllan hopes to go into medicine. He’s done little performing recently, although he still performs if you ask him nicely enough. He’s recently performed at Blackpool Winter Gardens, playing to a packed house!

Zyllan can be contacted through the Aerotech website (Click on his flyer, near the bottom of the page) - Aerotech are the thoroughly nice chaps that manufacture the gloclubs that Zyllan is using in the above picture.

Thankyou Zyllan (and John) for sending me this picture, it’s nice to have some young tallent represented in the collection! Note that this picture was signed on the back, as it was too dark to sign on the front.

Juggler Number 3 - Greg Kennedy

I’ve received the third signed promotional photograph of a juggler!Greg Kennedy

Greg is one of the more creative jugglers around. In my opinion he’s truly exploring the limits of what it means to be a juggler, experimenting, and coming up with some very exciting pieces.

You’ve probably seen his juggling in the YouTube video “Conic - Juggling in a Cone” (It’s been emailed to pretty much the whole internet by now!)

You can book Greg through his website - www.innovativejuggler.com

As well as being a truly innovative juggler, Greg’s also a rather friendly chap, and very kindly sent me a copy of his entire promotional pack! Thanks Greg!

Juggler Number 2 - Dave Finnigan

I’ve received the second signed promotional photograph of a juggler!

dave_finnigan_thumb.jpg

Words can’t describe how excited I was when I received this photo! Dave Finnigan is the author of two of my favourite books on Juggling. Amongst other books, he wrote The Complete Juggler which covers more areas of juggling than any other book I’ve ever read! Dave says that there’s a new edition coming out next year - so keep your eyes open for that one!

Dave also wrote The Zen of Juggling Which is frankly marvelous! Along with the above signed photo, Dave was kind enough to send me a signed copy of his book and I’ve read it twice since I opened the envelope!

You can book Dave Finnigan through his website - I’ve never seen him perform, or heard him speak - but if he’s even a tenth as inspiring in real life as his books are in print - he’s gold dust!

So that’s 2 down, 98 to go!

Juggler Number 1 - Urs Rohrer

March 19th, 2007 - Comments Off

I’ve received the first signed promotional photograph of a juggler!

Ursepio

His name’s Urs Rohrer, and he’s also collecting photographs of jugglers (although he’s not doing anything awkward like insisting that they’re printed out on paper and signed!)

You can book him through his website at www.ursepio.ch and you can view his collection of photos in his Jugglers section!

Urs also played a part in forming the concept for this site, and for that Urs, I thank you!

So that’s 1 down 99 to go…
